A digital health locker is a secure online space where you can store, organize, and access medical records, prescriptions, and lab reports for yourself and your family from any device.
What is HealthVault Family? +
HealthVault Family is an AI-powered Secure Personal Health Record (PHR) platform that combines intelligent medical document management, OCR, AI-assisted health insights, family collaboration, health monitoring, emergency access, and secure cloud storage into a single scalable healthcare platform.
Can I rely on the AI summaries and medical interpretations? +

HealthVault Family offers several AI features to help you understand your family's records:

  • Document summaries: a short overview of a report, prescription, or lab result.
  • Medical report interpretation: a plain-language explanation of what the values and findings in a report mean.
  • Prescription interpretation: an explanation of the medicines listed on a prescription, such as what each one is generally used for and how it is usually taken.
  • Other AI-assisted insights across your stored records.

These features help you read and understand your records faster. They are not a diagnosis, and they are not a replacement for your doctor's advice.

AI can make mistakes, misread handwriting or scanned text, or miss details. Always compare the AI output with the original report or prescription. Do not start, stop, or change a medicine or treatment based only on an AI summary or interpretation. Discuss any questions or concerns with your doctor or pharmacist before acting on them.

How is my family's medical data kept secure? +
Medical records are encrypted and securely stored, with account-level access controls so each family member's health data stays organized and private within your account.
Can I add multiple family members to one account? +
Yes. HealthVault Family is built around family profiles, so you can manage separate, clearly organized health records for every member of your family under a single account.
How does the AI-powered OCR feature work? +
When you upload a photo or scan of a prescription or lab report, HealthVault Family automatically reads and extracts the key details using OCR technology, so records are organized without manual data entry.
Can HealthVault Family send medication reminders? +
Yes. Medication schedules can be created for family members and synced to the device for local notifications, subject to notification permissions and device settings.
What is an Emergency Medical ID? +
An Emergency Medical ID is a quick-access profile for selected family health information such as blood group, emergency contact, allergies, medical conditions and medications.
How does the Emergency Medical ID work? +
Each family member can have a unique QR code and public profile link. When the QR code is scanned or the link is opened, the emergency information included in that profile is displayed in a mobile-friendly view.
Can I share the Emergency Medical ID? +
Yes. You can open the emergency profile, share its link, or generate a shareable Emergency Medical ID image containing the member's key information and QR code.
Can I update the information in an Emergency Medical ID? +
Yes. The family account holder can update a member's emergency details so the profile can reflect important changes over time. Keep the information current before sharing it.
Is the Emergency Medical ID a replacement for emergency services? +
No. The Emergency Medical ID helps people access important health information quickly. It does not replace emergency services, medical professionals or official identification documents. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number immediately.
Is HealthVault Family different from ABHA? +
Yes. ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) is India's national digital health ID, issued under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. HealthVault Family is a separate app for storing your family's medical records. HealthVault Family does not currently connect to ABHA. Keep your ABHA ID handy for hospitals that use it.
Is my family's medical data really encrypted and secure? +
Medical documents are encrypted with AES-256 before being stored, and access is controlled at the account level. See our full privacy policy.
Does HealthVault Family work offline on my phone? +
Not yet. HealthVault Family currently requires an internet connection to upload, search, and share records. Offline viewing of cached documents is planned. If offline access is critical for you, let us know. It helps us prioritize our roadmap.
Can I delete my family's data anytime? +
Yes. You can delete individual records, family member profiles, or your entire account from settings. Deleted data is removed from our servers within 30 days, subject to any legally required retention.
What happens to my data if I stop paying? +
Your records stay in your account and remain encrypted. You can download your records as PDFs at any time. Plan changes and what they mean for access are shown in the pricing section.
